On July 23, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the completion of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ca Mau province (after the merger) by 2025.
According to the Steering Committee of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ca Mau province, after nearly a year of implementation, the program has built and repaired nearly 9,670 houses for policy families, martyrs' relatives, poor and near-poor households, and households under the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas with a total cost of over 470 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai praised the sense of responsibility of localities, businesses, philanthropists, and forces that directly participated in building and repairing houses for people. The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has helped many households stabilize their lives, settle down, and find work; making an important contribution to sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and civilized urban areas in the locality.
Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai noted that the completion of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses this time does not mean it will stop here. Localities must continue to research, better mobilize resources, expand flexible and creative forms of support, suitable for the target, contributing to further improving the quality of people's lives.
