As originally planned, virtual singer Ann marked her return with the song "Cry ," a rock-baby voice track. The event took place on the afternoon of August 21st in Ho Chi Minh City.
Virtual singer Ann is gradually overcoming her shortcomings.
Taking into account feedback regarding Ann's lack of emotional expression and mismatched lip movements in her debut MV, the team has made improvements to present a more polished image of the virtual singer Ann.
Bobo Dang, representing Ann's management company, stated that he was directly involved in the image production process, applying advanced CGI technology to deliver high-quality, newly released visuals.
"We always closely monitor the changing music market and audience preferences to build a more appropriate and complete image for singer Ann, enhancing the audience's experience," Bobo Dang further explained.
In terms of vocals, the audience can sense a unique voice, unlike any real-life singer, because the rock-baby voice genre hasn't been pursued by many singers.
Ann's creator said Ann will pursue upbeat music. The team will release several revamped versions to give the song "Cry" different colors and emotions.

The MV Cry focuses more on special effects.
The music video for " Cry" is based on a dramatic science fiction story, featuring numerous visual effects.
When asked if the music video's excessive use of special effects might overshadow Ann's vocals and visuals, the production representative shared:

"We used quite a lot of special effects to create impressive visuals, scenes that don't exist in reality, while also better conveying the creative ideas and message of the song to the audience."
In addition, they experimented with incorporating dance, specifically ballet, to rock music.
This only enhances the audience experience, without overshadowing the virtual singers."
The music video features a scene where Ann falls from the sky onto a cloud and lands on the ground while dancing, which viewers fear might evoke negative thoughts.
Bobo Dang explained: "This image is metaphorical, clearly artistic, and stems from the director's intention."
When the person Ann loved was gone, the world seemed to leave her all alone.
For music videos by virtual singers, it's normal to have unrealistic scenes. The team tries to create the most beautiful frames, conveying the message of the music video without giving viewers a negative feeling."
The production team has been refining Ann's visuals and performance skills, preparing her to sing alongside a live artist in the near future.
During the launch of her new music video, Ann performed with a live band for the first time, bringing many emotions to the audience.

Virtual singer Ann debuted in March 2023 with her first music video titled "How Can I Say I Love You?".
The music market has seen the emergence of a virtual singer, surprising audiences. However, both their appearance and singing voice have received mixed reactions.
Some people commented that Ann's performance was stiff, and her mouth movements didn't match the sound. Her singing voice reminded many people of singer Thùy Chi.
At that time, Bobo Dang - the creator of singer Ann - affirmed that the team was not imitating Thuy Chi's voice.
