Following Cambodia's withdrawal, the 33rd SEA Games are once again facing disruptions regarding organizational plans, schedules, and other issues. Currently, representatives from the host country's organizing committee, Thailand, have not commented on the matter.

However, in a recent press conference, Mr. Thana Chaiprasit, Secretary General of the Thai Olympic Committee and Head of the Thai Sports Delegation, said that in case Cambodia suddenly leaves the 33rd SEA Games, the competitions will still take place as scheduled instead of being canceled, even if there are only 3 teams competing in one event.
