(CLO) The new generation Mitsubishi Triton 2024 based on the XRT Concept will be launched in July 2023 in Thailand.

On July 26, the launch ceremony of Mitsubishi Triton 2024 will be held in Thailand, known as the global pickup truck manufacturing center.

The new Mitsubishi Triton is based on the XRT Concept - a car that debuted at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2023 last March.

According to Headlightmag, the new Triton will be launched in a four-door Double Cab (with four doors and at least four seats, most are now equipped with five seats) and a Mega Cab (closed) body style. A Single Cab version (a two-door, two-seat cockpit with a long rear bed and long chassis) will be added later.

Some information said that Mitsubishi's pickup truck will be equipped with a 2.4-liter DOHC turbodiesel engine (code 4N16), an electrified version (hybrid) and a pure electric version (EV) are in production.

Focusing on expanding its market in Southeast Asia, Mitsubishi will launch this pickup model in the ASEAN region first, then bring the vehicle to the European market in September.
