The new Mitsubishi Triton is based on the XRT Concept - a car that debuted at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2023 last March.

According to Headlightmag, the new Triton will be launched in a four-door Double Cab (with four doors and at least four seats, most are now equipped with five seats) and a Mega Cab (closed) body style. A Single Cab version (a two-door, two-seat cockpit with a long rear bed and long chassis) will be added later.

Some information said that Mitsubishi's pickup truck will be equipped with a 2.4-liter DOHC turbodiesel engine (code 4N16), an electrified version (hybrid) and a pure electric version (EV) are in production.
