According to the Hanoi People's Committee, there are currently 167 bridges, temporary bridges, and weak bridges in the city that are deteriorating and potentially dangerous to people. Of these, 53 bridges are managed by the city, while the rest are managed by districts, towns, and cities.

It is expected that the city will spend about 2,500 billion VND to support the construction and repair of bridges under the management of localities. Because these are all temporary and degraded bridges, most of them only ensure one lane or meet the needs of rudimentary vehicles and motorbikes.

According to the reporter's records, there are many temporary bridges built along the Kim Nguu River. These bridges all "shoulder" many trips of vehicles each day.

"The bridge over Kim Nguu River was built a long time ago, and used to allow motorbikes and bicycles to pass through, but after many years of deterioration, the authorities only allow pedestrians to cross the bridge," said Mr. Hiep (Hoang Mai, Hanoi).
