Can Tho started and inaugurated 7 major projects worth nearly 10,000 billion VND on December 19.

Can Tho is rushing to complete procedures to start construction and inaugurate 7 projects with a total capital of 9,700 billion VND on December 19, aiming to welcome the 14th Party Congress.

The information was stated at a working session on the morning of December 3 chaired by Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa, listening to departments and investors report on the progress of a series of projects to welcome the 14th National Party Congress.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

According to the Department of Construction of Can Tho City, there are 3 projects eligible for inauguration on this occasion, including: East-West economic development axis road (former Soc Trang province), Hong Loan social housing apartment building and Cara River Park apartment building.

Regarding the projects eligible to start construction this time, the most prominent is the Wind Power Plant No. 7 Phase 2 project, with an investment of more than 3,700 billion VND. Along with that are the Nguyen Chi Thanh bridge and road projects (Vi Thanh ward), Hong Loan social housing apartment building and An Phu Eco City apartment complex.

In total, 7 projects and works have a total investment of about 9,700 billion VND.

To ensure progress, the Department of Construction recommended that the City People's Committee direct relevant departments to coordinate with investors to complete legal documents, remove bottlenecks regarding land, land prices and deposits. Investors pledged to concentrate all resources and carry out construction according to the set plan.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Hoa emphasized that this is a large-scale event, part of the nationwide groundbreaking and inauguration program chaired by the Government , with the participation of Party and State leaders. Therefore, the projects must ensure full legality and conditions for organizing the ceremony.

The Department of Construction was assigned to preside over the development of the script, choose the organization form and coordinate the survey of the location, to ensure the event takes place solemnly, effectively, and spread the meaning of welcoming the 14th Party Congress.

The Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee also requested departments, localities and event organizers to closely coordinate to ensure the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies are smoothly connected at live and online locations.
