(Dan Tri Newspaper) - One of the components of the advanced training for special forces police is marksmanship. Using sniper rifles, the soldiers will practice with targets at distances ranging from several hundred meters to several kilometers.
For nearly two months, more than 100 officers and soldiers of the Special Task Force of the Mobile Police Command ( Ministry of Public Security ) have been undergoing a special advanced training course. The photo shows a martial arts demonstration aimed at improving physical fitness.
The officers and soldiers donned their "fighting gear" to subdue criminals using knives, sticks, guns, etc. This is one of the 10 training modules in this advanced training session, alongside other training programs such as: Overcoming comprehensive obstacles; High-rise building rope descent techniques; Stealth swimming and diving techniques for rescue and relief operations on rivers and waterways... The Special Police Unit is built as an elite, cutting-edge, and leading force of the Ministry of Public Security, receiving special training in physical fitness, tactics, and martial arts. The weather in Northern Vietnam during the summer months is extremely harsh, with daytime temperatures consistently reaching 40 degrees Celsius. Special forces soldiers begin their training day at 5 am and finish at 10 pm. In martial arts training, only one soldier "fights" the criminal, while the rest perform synchronized movements. Shooting is an important skill and an effective professional technique, often used in combat. The soldiers will be trained with pistols, rifles, and sniper rifles.
In handgun shooting, in addition to basic standing and kneeling positions, soldiers must perform other difficult shooting positions such as lying on their backs or on their stomachs. For rifle shooting, they must move while aiming. With sniper rifles, soldiers will practice with targets at distances ranging from a few hundred meters to several kilometers. During training, the "scorecards" of special forces snipers are always 8 or higher. Triple perfect scores (10 out of 10) are not uncommon. The Special Police Unit is tasked with regularly training, maintaining a high level of combat readiness, and demonstrating rapid mobility to promptly prevent and suppress all types of terrorist crimes, hostage taking, and to coordinate the pursuit and apprehension of dangerous criminals. According to the Special Police Unit's leadership, the goal of this training is to train special police officers and soldiers to become skilled combatants, capable of fighting day and night, rain or shine, wind or fog.
