On November 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Province arrested Nguyen Van V. (32 years old, credit officer of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Gia Lai Branch) to investigate the act of fraud and appropriation of property.

Accordingly, through professional work, the police discovered that Nguyen Van V. had fraudulently asked customers to sign debt acknowledgments and payment authorizations, then arbitrarily withdrew more money from the customers' loan limits in order to appropriate the money.

According to the initial investigation, V. arbitrarily withdrew and appropriated 3.5 billion VND from the loan limit account of a customer residing in Dien Hong ward, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province for personal spending.

At the police station, Nguyen Van V. also confessed that taking advantage of the disbursement via the MB App for the amount still within the loan limit, which had not been withdrawn by the customer, V. secretly made money transfer orders to intermediary accounts, appropriating billions of dong from 6 other loan customers.

The case is being further investigated and clarified by the Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Provincial Police.
