Warm journey of Gia Lai businesswoman after storm and flood

DNVN - For more than half a month, the footsteps of Gia Lai female entrepreneurs have continuously headed towards the flood-hit areas, thereby affirming the sense of responsibility and warmth of these "pink ladies" of business towards the community.

On December 2, the Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association continued on the road. The charity bus rolled through the roads still marked by storms and floods, carrying 160 gifts for the people of the three communes of Ia Tul, Ia Pa and Tuy Phuoc Dong - places that suffered heavy damage after the recent "double disaster".

Accompanying the delegation were Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Van - Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council of Gia Lai province; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Gia Lai province.

In Ia Tul and Ia Pa communes (Western Gia Lai province), 100 households were each given gifts of 1 million VND in cash and 350,000 VND in necessities – small gifts but at the right time when they needed them most.

On the same afternoon, the Association continued to coordinate with the Ninh Binh Province Women Entrepreneurs Association to visit Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune (East of Gia Lai Province) to present 60 gifts worth 165 million VND (150 million VND in cash and 15 million VND in necessities), supporting households whose houses collapsed, roofs were blown off, and who are struggling to rebuild their lives after the natural disaster.

The total amount of support for the day is 300 million VND, contributed by members and sponsors such as Ninh Binh Province Women Entrepreneurs Association, Deloitte Vietnam Auditing Company, Hanoi City Women Entrepreneurs Association.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Van - Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, highly appreciated the timely participation of the female business community in the context of the province having just experienced a storm and flood that caused heavy damage.

Together with the Ninh Binh Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association, we visited and gave gifts to people in Tuy Phuoc Dong commune.

Since the end of November, the Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association has been present in many areas affected by the "double disaster", giving gifts to people, visiting patients, supporting disadvantaged workers... The total value of support is more than 2 billion VND.
