(NLĐO) – The natural disaster risk level of the two earthquakes that occurred in Kon Tum province on the afternoon of November 30th is level 0.
The Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center – Institute of Geophysics reported that at 4:42:10 PM on November 30th, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale occurred.
The earthquake occurred at coordinates (14.953 degrees North latitude, 108.142 degrees East longitude), in Kon Plông district, Kon Tum province; the focal depth was approximately 8.1 km.
A Facebook post from Quang Nam province stated that they felt the earthquake.
Next, at 17:12:24 on the same day, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale occurred at coordinates (14.958 degrees North latitude, 108.135 degrees East longitude), in the Kon Plông district, Kon Tum province; the focal depth was approximately 10 km.
The natural disaster risk level for the two earthquakes was level 0.
Many internet users in Nam Tra My district reported feeling the earthquake distinctly.
Although the earthquake occurred in Kon Tum province, many residents living in Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province, reported feeling the tremors. Many people shared information about the earthquakes on social media, including Facebook.
Earlier, on November 28th, a major earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale also occurred in the Kon Plông district.
Also in Kon Plông, five earthquakes occurred on November 27th; on November 26th alone, there were as many as twelve.
