Preparing half a million seats, Vietnamese airlines are ready to serve flights on the occasion of National Day September 2nd

The airline will focus on increasing the frequency of domestic flights between Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Da Lat, Cam Ranh; between Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, Phu Quoc... The total number of domestic seats will reach 330,000, equivalent to more than 1,700 flights, an increase of more than 19% over the same period in 2023.

The international routes with the most increased flights are between Vietnam and India, China, Thailand, and Australia, with the total number of international seats reaching more than 150,000, equivalent to more than 650 flights, a slight increase compared to last year.

The airline noted that key domestic tourist routes were nearly 50% full and forecasted that they would continue to increase rapidly in the coming time. International routes to India, China, Thailand, and Australia also achieved positive results with occupancy rates of 50-70%.

Ensuring the supply capacity during the peak period of National Day September 2 is a great effort of Vietnam Airlines in the context of the aviation industry's aircraft shortage due to the impact of the manufacturer's recall of engines for inspections worldwide. In recent months, Vietnam Airlines has received an additional Airbus A320neo and a Boeing 787-10 to enhance service for passengers' peak travel needs.

For a smooth trip, the airline recommends that passengers book tickets earlier than the expected departure date to have more flight options and increase the possibility of buying attractive fares; at the same time, they should use self-check-in methods before the flight to save time during peak season, such as: Automatic check-in via website www.vietnamairlines.com, mobile application (mobile check-in), telephone (telephone check-in) or at self-check-in counters (kiosk check-in).
