This is a meaningful activity of the Vietnamese community living and working in Japan towards their homeland and country on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The program attracted more than 1,000 audiences including overseas Vietnamese, international students, interns and international friends from many provinces and cities in the Kansai region such as Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara...
Speaking at the event, Ms. Le Thuong, President of the General Association of Vietnamese in the Kansai region, emphasized: “We organize the program not only to celebrate National Day together, but also to remind every Vietnamese living far from home to always be proud of and preserve national cultural values. This is also an opportunity for the community to meet, connect, and look towards the Fatherland."
With the theme of national pride and solidarity, the program includes many special music and dance performances and songs with homeland melodies, performed by community artists and students.

The performances were elaborately staged, combining music , dance and light, creating a solemn and emotional atmosphere. This is also an opportunity for the young generation born and raised in Japan to understand, love and be proud of their roots.
The program also made an impression with the traditional Ao Dai performance. The amateur models, who were young Vietnamese people in the Kansai region, showed their confidence and charm, contributing to conveying the beauty of Vietnamese culture to international friends.
Ms. Mai Anh, Head of the Organizing Committee and Artistic Director of the program, shared: “Through music, fashion and art stage, we want to create a multi-generational exchange space, so that Vietnamese people in Japan, especially the youth, can be exposed to and be proud of their national culture.”
Besides the performance program, the event also has cultural and culinary exhibition areas, folk games, and calligraphy booths, creating a cozy and colorful community living space.

Mr. Trinh Van Thien (currently working in Osaka) said: “This is the happiest and most joyful National Day celebration for me since coming to Japan. I arrived at the venue early to support everyone in the Organizing Committee. It was an emotional and proud art program. I would like to thank the Organizing Committee because I had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem with many Vietnamese people in Japan to celebrate the National Day of my country.”
The program "Pride of a country" is a highlight event in the series of activities celebrating National Day this year of the Vietnamese community in the Kansai region.
Not only demonstrating organizational maturity, the program is also a testament to the community's efforts in preserving and spreading Vietnamese culture in the host country.
The General Association of Vietnamese in Kansai said it will continue to organize culturally in-depth events and expand their scale in the future, aiming to establish the Vietnamese Cultural Week in Kansai, an annual cultural and artistic playground for overseas Vietnamese and international friends.
