On the afternoon of December 11th, in the final of the women's team kata event, the three athletes Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, and Hoang Thi Thu Uyen brilliantly defeated host Thailand to win the first gold medal in Karate and also the 5th gold medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation.
With the highly challenging Tomari Bassai kata, our three athletes perfectly showcased their technique, poise, and perfect coordination in every movement. This impressive performance helped the Vietnamese Karate Team win the gold medal convincingly.
Women's team karate has always been a strength of Vietnam, having won gold medals at the 2023 Asian Games and the 32nd SEA Games. Therefore, this victory by the girls further affirms the position of Vietnamese karate and fulfills the expectations of fans.
