"July Love" Program

This morning, July 19th, the Economic & Urban Newspaper and the Quang Tri Newspaper jointly organized the "July Compassion" program - 2024, presenting 106 gifts to families with meritorious contributions to the revolution and policy beneficiaries in Hai Lang district.

Nguyen Khanh Vu, Secretary of the Hai Lang District Party Committee; Le Hoang Anh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper; Ta Viet Anh, former Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper and currently Editor-in-Chief of the Nature and Environment Magazine; and Nguyen Ty, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Quang Tri Newspaper, attended the event.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper, Le Hoang Anh, emphasized: “Over the past 12 years, the ‘July Solidarity’ program has distributed thousands of gifts to the people of Quang Tri. According to Le Hoang Anh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper, in order to express gratitude to the land and people who suffered much pain and loss during the war, from 2012 to the present, the Economic & Urban Newspaper and the Quang Tri Newspaper have jointly organized the annual "July Solidarity" program.

The "July Solidarity" program is a deeply humane activity, demonstrating the responsibility of media agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals towards policy beneficiaries, families with revolutionary merit, students overcoming difficulties, and those in challenging circumstances in Quang Tri province. To commemorate the 77th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th (1947-2024), the "July Solidarity" program was held in Hai Lang and Vinh Linh districts.

In Hai Lang district, with the support and contributions of businesses and Mr. Ta Viet Anh, the program presented 106 gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs, those who contributed to the revolution, and those in particularly difficult circumstances, helping them alleviate hardship and find more joy in life.

Mr. Ho Van Huan, 76 years old, from Dai An Khe village, Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district, emotionally said: “I was born into a family that contributed to the revolution, and I am currently facing difficulties with housing and suffering from various illnesses. I thank the Economic & Urban Newspaper, Quang Tri Newspaper, and all the sponsoring organizations and individuals for supporting me with this meaningful gift. This gift will be of great help to me in the coming time.”

According to the Vice Chairman of the Hai Lang District People's Committee, Cap Xuan Ta: “Hai Lang District currently has about 5,000 beneficiaries of social policies, many of whom are facing difficult circumstances. In recent years, the district has implemented many solutions to care for families with meritorious contributions to the revolution and beneficiaries of social policies. The meaningful gifts presented today by the Economic & Urban Newspaper, Quang Tri Newspaper, Mr. Ta Viet Anh, and other sponsoring units will bring much joy and happiness to the beneficiaries in the district.”

Earlier, the organizing committee of the "July Solidarity" program held a ceremony to offer incense at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, expressing gratitude and commemorating the contributions of the heroic martyrs who fell during the 81-day and 81-night campaign to defend the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, contributing to the victory of our army and people in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.
