The match between Thanh Hoa FC and Hai Phong FC is considered to be evenly matched in round 3 of V-League 2024-25. Although playing at home, the Thanh team entered the match quite cautiously.
In the 11th minute, from a corner kick from his teammate, Gustavo jumped very high and headed the ball into the crossbar of Hai Phong's goal.
In the 17th minute, the score was opened for the away team Hai Phong FC. Receiving a pass from captain Huu Son, striker Lucao handled the ball very skillfully before finishing from a narrow angle, defeating goalkeeper Xuan Hoang.
After conceding the goal, Thanh Hoa FC pushed up their squad to attack in search of an equalizer. However, the home team encountered many deadlocks and could not create clear opportunities.
In the 45+3 minute, Gustavo headed the ball close to Hai Phong's goal, but goalkeeper Dinh Trieu, in an attempt to block the shot, hit his head on the post. The doctor immediately entered the field to take care of the Vietnamese goalkeeper. After that, the away team's goalkeeper had to bandage his head in order to continue playing.
Right at the beginning of the second half, Thanh Hoa Club almost equalized. Thai Binh broke through to the bottom of the line and pushed the ball out, Yago Ramos volleyed the ball against the crossbar of Hai Phong's goal.
In the 55th minute, the home team did what they wanted. From a cross from Thai Binh on the left wing, Nhat Minh accidentally headed the ball into his own net in an attempt to defend.
In the 82nd minute, the score was 2-1 for Thanh Hoa Club. From a corner kick by the home team, center back Thanh Long finished with a close-range shot that scored the second goal against Dinh Trieu.
Not only that, in the 86th minute, still from a corner kick, center-back Gustavo ran across and headed the ball close to the goal, setting the score at 3-1 for the Thanh team at home in round 3 of LPBank V-League 2024-25.
