After the authorities appeared at the Mailisa beauty salons in Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang... the products surrounding this chain of beauty salons also attracted public attention.
Ms. Phan Thi Mai (also known by the nickname Mailisa) is a famous figure in the field of aesthetics and beauty and is the founder and operator of the beauty salon chain of the same name.
In addition to her beauty-related business, another area that Mailisa is said to make a lot of money in is selling cosmetics.
Mailisa also sells many types with other uses such as sunscreen, facial cleanser, skin regeneration gel... Prices are quite diverse, ranging from a few tens of thousands of Dong to a few hundred thousand Dong.
In particular, the product line of the Doctor Magic cosmetic brand was born in Hong Kong (China) and is officially imported and exclusively distributed in Vietnam by Mailisa beauty salon.
Currently on Mailisa's official website, these products are still being offered for sale at prices ranging from 120,000 VND to 2,700,000 VND.
According to the Doctor Magic product label, the importer and distributor in Vietnam is MK SKINCARE Import Export Production Trading Service Company Limited (HCMC).
On the National Business Registration Portal, the company was established in September 2017, with Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh as owner, general director and legal representative. Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh is also Ms. Mai's husband.
According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, on November 17, on the information page of the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ), when searching for information about products of MK SKINCARE Import-Export Production, Trade and Service Company Limited, the results showed 162 products were granted cosmetic product declaration receipt numbers.
Of these, 32 products under the Doctor Magic brand were licensed in 2018 and 2019.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Ta Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health, said that according to the preliminary report of the Cosmetics Management Department (Drug Administration Department), since January 1, 2020, this company has submitted declaration documents for 100 imported cosmetic products.
"Up to now, the number of cosmetic products with valid cosmetic product declaration receipts is 81," Mr. Hung informed.

Previously, according to Ms. Mai's introduction, these products were exclusively distributed in Vietnam through the Mailisa beauty salon system, under the brand Doctor Magic, born in Hong Kong (China).
Ms. Mai confirmed that this cosmetic belongs to the Doctor Magic brand, is a genuine imported product line, has clear origin, and has been tested by the Ministry of Health.
In a video posted in 2023 on her TikTok channel with millions of followers, Ms. Mai said the system's cosmetic products always sell very well, even "selling out containers."
Ms. Mai also said that many cosmetics are expensive due to the cost of renting premises, celebrity advertising, 50-70% discounts for agents, etc., all included in the selling price. At the same time, she affirmed that in order for a business to develop and survive for a long time, it must do the right thing to be protected by the law.

Up to now, although the authorities have not announced official information related to the Mailisa beauty chain, the incident has attracted public attention. The issue of transparency in beauty activities, the origin and quality of cosmetic products is followed by many people.
