Fans set fire to the stadium after the club was relegated.

On December 11th, Finnish police confirmed that the fire that destroyed the stands at FC Haka's Tehtaan Kentta stadium last weekend was intentional.

Part of Haka's yard was burned down.

According to initial investigations, one of the three suspects, all under 15 years old, admitted to setting fire to an object, causing the fire to spread, burning down the entire wooden grandstand and severely damaging a section of the artificial turf.

The incident occurred against the backdrop of FC Haka having just experienced one of the most disappointing seasons in its history. The historically rich club, with nine Finnish league titles, was relegated after a run of 15 winless matches in the Veikkausliiga.

Haka's hopes of avoiding relegation seemed alive as they entered the final match at home, but a 1-2 defeat against direct rivals KTP officially relegated the team to the Ykkosliiga for the 2026 season.

Following significant damage to their home stadium, FC Haka has launched a fundraising campaign to restore facilities and stabilize the club's operations. The local football community is actively sharing information to help the team overcome this setback after a turbulent season.
