At the end of the morning session on December 10, VN-Index decreased by 22.11 points, falling to 1,725.06 points. Trading volume reached more than 279.1 million shares, equivalent to nearly 7,715 billion VND. The entire floor recorded 110 stocks increasing, 177 stocks decreasing and 62 stocks remaining unchanged.

On the HNX floor, the HNX-Index decreased by 0.67 points to 256.47 points, with trading volume reaching more than 16.3 million units, equivalent to more than VND299.4 billion; 39 codes increased, 68 codes decreased and 69 codes remained unchanged.

UPCOM-Index decreased 0.5 points to 119.18 points, with more than 14 million shares transferred, equivalent to more than 197.4 billion VND; the whole floor had 104 codes increased, 86 codes decreased and 72 codes remained unchanged.

In the VN30 basket, the green and red colors were balanced with 14 stocks increasing, 14 stocks decreasing and 2 stocks remaining unchanged. However, the sharp decline in the leading real estate group had a negative impact on the index: VIC decreased by 5.5%, VHM decreased by 4%, VRE decreased by 2.66%. Many large stocks such as JVC, SAB, MSN, MWG,FPT , GAS were also in red.

The non-essential consumer group was under strong selling pressure, especially in large-cap stocks: VPL hit the floor, MWG fell 0.83%, PNJ fell 0.56%, FRT fell 2.59%. On the other hand, only a few codes such as DGW, HUT, TNG remained green but the increase was insignificant.

On the other hand, the financial group continued to perform positively as green spread across most stocks. HDB increased by 2.86%, EIB increased by 1.1%, SSI increased by 122%, HCM increased by 1.09%...

The negative developments in the real estate sector and the decline in retail and consumer stocks have left the market lacking the momentum to recover. Analysts say the cautious stance may continue in the coming sessions as investors await further support signals from the macro economy and institutional cash flow.
