Drug addict being wanted by police still steals

On November 26, Son Tra District Police ( Da Nang City) took the suspect who specializes in shophouse theft, Vo Van Nhut (29 years old, residing in Mieu Bong village, Hoa Phuoc commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) to a drug rehabilitation center at Bau Bang Social Facility (Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district).

Previously, at 9:00 a.m. on November 20, Nai Hien Dong Ward Police, while on patrol, discovered and caught Vo Van Nhut stealing property at the door of the shophouse area of ​​the Marina Complex project on Le Van Duyet Street (Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District).

The seized evidence included aluminum doors, crowbars, and screwdrivers used to break in. At the police station, Nhut confessed to regularly breaking into ownerless shophouses in real estate projects in Da Nang City.

Vo Van Nhut was sent to drug rehabilitation

Nhut broke glass doors, aluminum doors, rented a car to transport and sell. According to Nai Hien Dong Ward Police, recently shophouse projects have been continuously robbed.

These establishments were uninhabited and unguarded, so thieves broke in and stole aluminum doors and water tanks. Faced with this situation, Nai Hien Dong Ward Police planned to patrol and ambush to fight.

Expanding the investigation, Son Tra District Police discovered that Vo Van Nhut had just left a drug rehabilitation center in June 2023 and was being sought by Hoa Vang District Police for his involvement in several cases.

Through testing, Nhut tested positive for synthetic drugs. Son Tra District Police have filed a case to send Nhut to compulsory drug rehabilitation at Bau Bang Social Facility, and continue to expand the investigation into the act of property theft.
