Hanoi police promptly support people in adverse weather

On the afternoon of July 19, Hanoi suddenly experienced heavy rain with strong winds, causing localized flooding and fallen trees on many streets.

Local police, traffic police, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue forces of Hanoi City Police quickly arrived to support people, ensure traffic safety and handle incidents.

As soon as the weather became complicated, the Traffic Police Department Command directed local teams to increase patrols and controls, deploy traffic diversion plans, and support troubleshooting on key routes.

Also this afternoon, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Hanoi City Police urgently deployed forces and means to propagate and mobilize people to leave river areas and proactively avoid storms and tornadoes.
