Nearly 1,200 people participated in the sports festival of Chuong My ward.

On the morning of October 25th, Chuong My ward inaugurated its first Sports Festival - 2025, with nearly 1,200 participants marching to show their strength and performing many outstanding acts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My Ward, Nguyen Phung Hung, emphasized: “The first Chuong My Ward Sports Festival is a great event for all the people, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, strength, and the will to strive of the ward's officials, Party members, and people. The festival is also an opportunity to promote the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh," preserve and develop traditional ethnic sports, contribute to building grassroots cultural life, and spread the mass sports movement throughout the ward…”

The first Chương Mỹ Ward Sports Festival attracted nearly 1,200 participants in ceremonial groups, parades, and mass performances. The opening ceremony was solemn and lively, featuring a parade showcasing the strength of the participants, a torch procession, and many spectacular mass performances, including martial arts demonstrations by the People's Police College I, mass gymnastics performances by the Elderly Associations of the villages and residential areas, and students from Ngô Sỹ Liên Secondary School.

At the opening ceremony, the People's Committee of Chuong My Ward presented commemorative flags and commendations to 7 collectives and 31 individuals for their achievements in the physical education and sports movement.

The first Chương Mỹ Ward Sports Festival featured 12 competitive events, including badminton, table tennis, volleyball, tug-of-war, sack race, and 6 senior citizen fitness exercises, with 113 participating units and 1,889 participants.

The organizing committee of the congress awarded 137 prizes, including 37 first prizes, 37 second prizes, 49 third prizes, and 24 consolation prizes.

Chuong My Ward will participate in the 11th Hanoi Sports Festival - 2025, competing in 4 sports: basketball, taekwondo, table tennis, and badminton, with 50 athletes participating and 10 athletes in the parade.
