Nearly 1,200 people participated in the Sports Festival of Chuong My ward

On the morning of October 25, Chuong My ward opened the 1st Sports Festival - 2025, with nearly 1,200 people participating in the parade to show off their strength and perform many unique performances.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My Ward Nguyen Phung Hung emphasized: "The first Sports Congress of Chuong My Ward is a great festival for all people, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, strength and will to rise of the cadres, party members and people of the ward. The Congress is also an opportunity to promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", preserve and promote traditional national sports, contribute to building grassroots cultural life, spread the mass sports movement in the ward...".

The first Chuong My Ward Sports Festival attracted nearly 1,200 people to participate in the ceremonial, parade and performance blocks. The opening ceremony took place solemnly and excitingly with the following contents: Parade to show off forces, torch relay and many special performances including martial arts performances by the People's Police College I, gymnastic performances by the Association of the Elderly of villages, residential groups and students of Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School.

At the opening ceremony, the People's Committee of Chuong My ward awarded souvenir flags and commended 7 groups and 31 individuals with achievements in the physical education and sports movement.

The first Chuong My Ward Sports Festival had 12 competitions, including: Badminton, table tennis, volleyball, tug of war, sack jumping and 6 health care activities for the elderly, with 113 units and 1,889 participants.

The congress organizing committee awarded 137 prizes, including 37 first prizes, 37 second prizes, 49 third prizes and 24 consolation prizes.

Chuong My Ward will compete in the 11th Capital Sports Festival - 2025, with 4 events: Basketball, Taekwondo, table tennis, badminton with 50 athletes participating and 10 athletes participating in the parade block.
