According to The Guardian , the world's oldest man has died at the age of 112.
John Tinniswood, born on August 26, 1912, in Liverpool, United Kingdom, was confirmed in April as the world's oldest living man. He died on November 25 at a nursing home in Southport, Merseyside, "surrounded by music and love," his family said.
The family's statement read: " John always liked to say thank you. So, on his behalf, I would like to thank everyone who cared for him over the years, including his caregivers at Hollies nursing home, his family doctor, area nurse, therapist, and other healthcare staff ."
At the time of his death, Mr. Tinniswood was left with a daughter named Susan, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was also the fourth oldest man in British history.

According to his family's announcement, he was intelligent, decisive, courageous, calm even in crisis, mathematically gifted, and a wonderful conversationalist. He moved to the Hollies nursing home just before his 100th birthday; his kindness and zest for life inspired the nursing home staff and those who lived with him.
Earlier this year, Tinniswood shared with Guinness World Records upon turning 112: “ I don’t feel the age, I’m not excited about it. That’s probably why I’ve lived this long. I just live each day like any other, and I don’t know why I’ve lived so long.”
I don't think there's any special secret. When I was young, I was quite active and walked a lot. Whether that has anything to do with it, I don't know. But to me, I'm no different from anyone else, completely indistinguishable."
Aside from eating a portion of fish and chips every Friday, Tinniswood says he doesn't follow any special diet: " I eat whatever people give me, and so do they ."
Mr. Tinniswood was born the same year the Titanic sank and lived through both world wars, making him the oldest surviving male veteran from World War II. He worked in administration within the British Army.
In addition to accounting and auditing, his work included logistical tasks such as locating missing soldiers and organizing food supplies. He later worked as an accountant for Shell and BP before retiring in 1972.
Tinniswood is a passionate Liverpool FC fan, born just 20 years after the club was founded in 1892, and has witnessed all eight of their FA Cup wins and 17 of their 19 league titles.
He met his wife, Blodwen, at a dance in Liverpool and they were together for 44 years before she passed away in 1986. Tinniswood was recognized as the world's oldest living man in April at the age of 111, after Venezuelan veteran Juan Vicente Pérez died at the age of 114.
The oldest man ever recorded was Jiroemon Kimura from Japan, who lived to be 116 years old and passed away in 2013.
The world's oldest living woman, and currently the oldest living person, is Tomiko Itooka from Japan, who is 116 years old.
