The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced that candidates admitted to specialized and integrated 10th-grade classes must submit their enrollment documents to the schools they have been admitted to between June 25 and 29. If candidates do not submit their enrollment documents, their names will be removed from the list of admitted students.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam this year is 98,681.
According to statistics on the 2024 10th grade entrance exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City, foreign language was the subject with the most perfect scores (10/10) among the three subjects. Of these, 1,707 candidates achieved a perfect score in foreign language. The number of candidates scoring between 9 and 9.75 was 14,732.
In mathematics, despite differing opinions that the exam was "long and difficult," 49 candidates achieved a perfect score of 10. Literature, while lacking perfect scores, had the lowest number of papers scoring below average among the three subjects.
The admission score for specialized 10th grade classes is calculated as follows :
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Specialized subject exam score x 2

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Average score of integrated English program
- For students not enrolled in the integrated English program at the lower secondary level in Ho Chi Minh City:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Integrated English exam score
Only consider candidates who are eligible to take the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated entrance exam regulations and have not scored 0 on any exam.

July 10th: Announcement of the entrance exam scores for regular 10th grade classes.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced that it is expected to release the cut-off scores for admission to regular 10th grade classes and the list of successful candidates for the 2024-2025 school year on July 10th.
From July 11th to August 1st, 2024: Students admitted to the 10th grade will usually submit their enrollment documents to the high school they have been admitted to. If a student does not submit their enrollment documents, their name will be removed from the list of admitted students.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, after high schools receive enrollment applications for 10th grade, the Department will review the situation and decide on the second round of supplementary admissions.
