A representative of Hanh Luyen bus company (Da Nang - Quang Binh route) said that the number of passengers during this holiday has decreased compared to last year. The situation is expected to be better on the days leading up to the holiday, April 28 and 29.
On the morning of April 26, Da Nang bus station was relatively empty.
Bus operators said that the number of passengers this year is not as high as in previous years. However, the number of passengers is expected to increase as the April 30 and May 1 holidays approach.
"During the holiday, the bus company runs 5 trips per day, but up to now, none of the buses have sold out," said a bus company representative.
Mr. Pham Loi, General Director of Da Nang Bus Station Management and Transport Joint Stock Company, said that the station has prepared a plan to serve the travel needs of passengers during the holiday and has informed the bus companies registered to operate at the station. However, up to now, the number of passengers booking tickets for the holiday is still quite low, only increasing by about 20% compared to normal days.
In contrast, Da Nang Railway Station recorded a fairly large number of passengers on the morning of April 26. At exactly 10:30 this morning, train SE6 arrived at the station, hundreds of passengers carrying luggage on board.
In contrast to the empty scene at the bus station, Da Nang train station was crowded with passengers on the morning of April 26.
Most customers book train tickets online because it is convenient and quick.
Currently, the trains only have extra seats. Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has added 6 more pairs of trains from Da Nang to major cities to serve the needs of people and tourists.
Mr. Doan Kim Tuan, Captain of the Passenger Transport Team - Da Nang Railway Transport Branch (Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company) said that the current trend of booking tickets is mainly online, few people come to buy tickets directly.
According to Mr. Tuan, the number of customers buying tickets to travel during the holiday is quite large, and the trains currently only have extra seats left.
"To meet the travel needs of passengers during the holidays, in addition to 6 regular train pairs and 2 regional train pairs, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has added 6 more train pairs on the Da Nang - Nha Trang, Da Nang - Hanoi , Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City routes," said Mr. Tuan.
