Da Nang pledges to create favorable conditions for investors

DNO - On the sidelines of the event "Meet Da Nang - Meet Da Nang 2024" taking place on the afternoon of January 26, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh had bilateral meetings and receptions with the ambassadors of Argentina, Malaysia, and Brazil in Vietnam.

Receiving the Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam Luis Pablo Maria Beltramino, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that in 2021, Da Nang city signed a memorandum of understanding, officially establishing a cooperative relationship with the city of Mar Del Plata, General Pueyrredón district, Buenos Aires province (Argentina) in the fields ofeducation , culture, smart cities and digital transformation, creative industry, environment, urban transport, port complex, food industry and other fields.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that the Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam will continue to support the relationship between Da Nang and Mar Del Plata; at the same time, continue to pay attention to introducing to Da Nang localities of Argentina with similarities in development orientation, thereby moving towards establishing cooperation.

In addition, encourage multi-industry business delegations and Argentine investors to come and explore the Da Nang and Vietnam markets.

The city will commit to creating all favorable conditions for Argentine investors and businesses to come to learn about and connect for investment in Da Nang; further strengthening economic , trade and investment relations between Da Nang and Argentina.

During a bilateral meeting with Mr. Dato' Tan Yang Thai, Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam, the Chairman of the City People's Committee pledged to support, create favorable conditions, and ensure fairness for investors and protect the safety of Malaysian tourists when coming to Da Nang.

At the same time, the Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam is requested to act as a bridge to introduce, promote and coordinate the organization of delegations to learn about the investment environment and cooperation opportunities in Da Nang in the fields of tourism, seaports, high-tech agriculture and renewable energy.

Mr. Dato' Tan Yang Thai said he will support and bring more Malaysian tourists to Da Nang to promote the city's tourism development as well as thank the city government for its attention to more than 18 Malaysian projects investing in Da Nang.

Da Nang is receiving much attention and investment from foreign investors. Many Malaysian businesses investing here have responded very positively.

“We see great potential for implementing and developing investment projects in Da Nang, especially in the Concentrated Information Technology Park and the High-Tech Park,” said Dato' Tan Yang Thai.

Meanwhile, in a bilateral meeting with Mr. Farani Marco, Ambassador of Brazil to Vietnam, the Chairman of the City People's Committee said that there are currently no Brazilian enterprises investing in Da Nang. The city government hopes that the Brazilian side will facilitate connections and introduce the investment and development potential of Da Nang to investors from Brazil.

Talking with the Chairman of the City People's Committee, Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam Farani Marco said he was very impressed with the investment environment and attractive incentives that Da Nang offers to investors.

For the development of the semiconductor manufacturing sector, Brazil has committed to supporting and sending personnel to work in Vietnam. Vietnam and Brazil may sign memorandums of understanding on semiconductor manufacturing in the future.

Mr. Farani Marco also pledged to transfer information about the city's investment environment to Brazilian businesses; thereby, establishing a cooperative relationship with Da Nang.

During the upcoming business trips of the Brazilian delegation to Vietnam, he hopes that Brazil and the city will have new cooperation, promoting development and investment.
