Delegates of Cam Xuyen District People's Council discuss solutions for socio-economic development

The 13th session of the People's Council of Cam Xuyen district ( Ha Tinh ) aims to evaluate the results of implementing socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2023; and pass many important resolutions to implement development goals in 2024.

On the morning of December 14, the People's Council of Cam Xuyen district, term XX, 2021 - 2026, opened the 13th session to evaluate the results of implementing socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2023; and passed many important resolutions to implement development goals in 2024.

Vice Chairman of Cam Xuyen District People's Committee Le Ngoc Ha presented a report on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in 2023; goals and tasks in 2024.

In 2023, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, Cam Xuyen district has achieved many outstanding results in all fields. The whole district achieved and exceeded 22/25 socio-economic targets (currently, 2 targets on building a commune that meets advanced NTM standards and a model NTM commune have been assessed by departments and branches and are waiting for the province to issue a decision to recognize).

Total production value reached over 9,700 billion VND, an increase of 13% compared to 2022 and equal to 103% of the plan. Industry - construction , trade - services - tourism grew strongly; agricultural production achieved comprehensive results, the highest rice yield in the province. Land conversion continued to be expanded; organic agricultural production gradually affirmed its effectiveness.

Site clearance work for projects is focused on. New rural construction is focused on. The whole district has 1 more model new rural commune and 1 advanced new rural commune. Budget revenue reached over 400 billion VND, exceeding 35% of the plan assigned by the province. The fields of culture, society and health have many positive changes; National defense and security are ensured.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Cam Xuyen district listened to and commented on the reports: The implementation of the budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 11 months, the estimated implementation for the whole year of 2023 and some key tasks and solutions; proposal to allocate the budget revenue and expenditure estimates and arrange development investment capital in 2024; report on the public investment plan for 2024; report on the plan to allocate the concentrated basic construction budget in 2024; report of the Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee on the work of supervision and participation in government building in 2023 and directions and tasks for 2024...

At the 13th session, the People's Council of Cam Xuyen district, term XX, will also decide to issue resolutions such as: allocating the state budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2024; approving the public investment plan for 2024; giving opinions on the plan to allocate the concentrated basic construction budget in 2024; adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; approving the Project on building and developing organic rice associated with building the Cam Xuyen rice brand for the period 2024 - 2028 and the following years...

The 13th session of the 20th term Cam Xuyen District People's Council is expected to take place in 2 days (from December 14 to 15). After the opening session, delegates will discuss and pass resolutions of the session.

Also at this session, delegates will elect additional members of the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district; take a vote of confidence for 19 people holding positions elected by the People's Council of Cam Xuyen district.
