The 5th Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Historical Science Association, term 2024-2029

On November 24th, the Provincial Historical Science Association held its 5th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term. Attending the congress were: Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Cuong - President of the Vietnam Historical Science Association.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc presented a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Historical Science Association.

The Provincial Historical Science Association currently has 210 members operating in 4 affiliated branches. During the past term, the Association has coordinated with all levels and sectors to organize and implement research on many provincial and grassroots scientific topics, which have been evaluated and classified as Excellent by the Science Councils at all levels. Coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to compile local educational materials for teaching in schools. Members have actively participated in consulting, criticism, social appraisal, scientific seminars, thematic seminars; participated in compiling and publishing many books on the history of Party Committees of departments, sectors, localities... At the same time, actively participated in propaganda work, popularizing historical knowledge and traditional education to cadres, party members, students...

In the 2024-2029 term, the Association will continue to consolidate and develop the organization, actively innovate and improve the effectiveness of its work. Strengthen coordination with all levels and sectors, participate in consulting, criticism and social appraisal related to cultural and historical research and conservation, and promote the values ​​of cultural heritages in the Ancestral Land. Participate in propagating and educating the nation's historical traditions of building and defending the country in schools and to all classes of people...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc spoke at the Congress

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements of the Provincial Historical Science Association in the past term. He suggested that in the new term, the Historical Science Association continue to gather and unite organizations and individuals working in historical science sectors in the province to serve the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the homeland.

Strengthen the establishment and expansion of exchange relations with historians nationwide, gradually integrating with international historians with the goal of sharing experiences, methods and advanced skills. At the same time, promote research and teaching of history to be worthy of being a scientific field that helps the young generation to be self-aware of patriotism, national pride, and pride in the cultural values ​​that our ancestors have built with sweat and blood.

With a high sense of responsibility, the Congress elected 15 members to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Historical Science Association for the 2024-2029 term and adopted the Congress Resolution.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Commendation to the Provincial Historical Science Association for its outstanding achievements in research, compilation, dissemination, and education of history in the province.

The Vietnam Historical Science Association awarded Certificates of Merit to the Provincial Historical Science Association and collectives and individuals; and awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese History" Medal to comrades who have made many contributions to the development of the Provincial Historical Science Association, contributing to the development of the Vietnam Historical Science Association.

The Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who have achieved outstanding results in the construction and development of the Provincial Historical Science Association, during the period 2018-2024.
