The motto of the Congress for the 2025-2030 term is: Solidarity - Democracy - Compassion - Development. Accordingly, all decisions on directions and tasks are aimed at the goal of building, protecting and developing a strong and prosperous Ho Chi Minh City. That is the strength of the great national unity bloc.
Mr. Loc emphasized that this congress focuses on two strategic tasks: First, comprehensively assess the situation of the great solidarity bloc and the practical results of all three localities in the transition period (2024 - 2025). From there, build a concrete action program to realize the Politburo 's resolutions on science and technology development, digital transformation and international integration. Second, consult and elect the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to ensure representativeness and consult the delegation to attend the Central Congress.

From July 1, according to the policy of the Central and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City was established on the basis of merging 3 localities, initially with 29 members and a Standing Committee of 9 people. Up to now, after the reorganization, the Committee has 69 members, continuing to maintain the structure of the Standing Committee of 9 people, in which the Chairman is the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee.
The new organizational model has initially stabilized, ensuring unified leadership and promoting the role of political alliances and voluntary associations of people of all walks of life in a wider and more diverse area than before.
Immediately after the merger, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has closely followed the Charter and working regulations, maintained solidarity, complied with the Party's orientation and the State's laws. It has concretized resolutions and action programs into key annual tasks, contributing to the goal of socio-economic development and ensuring order and safety in the area. Activities have been innovated in a practical direction, close to the grassroots, increasing skills training for Front officials, especially at the commune level.
The work of participating in Party and government building has achieved many results: collecting public opinions on Party Congress documents, contributing to draft laws, supervising people's livelihood issues, providing more orderly social feedback, coordinating well in contacting voters and synthesizing public opinions to competent authorities. At the same time, guiding the communal-level Fatherland Front after the merger ensures stable, economical and effective organization and operation.
