Agribank Party Committee participates in National Conference on training on artificial intelligence application

(Dan Tri) - The conference took place in two phases, the first phase was held on September 9-10 and the second phase was held on September 11-12. Agribank Party Committee participated in the conference via online connection with the bridge organized by the Central Party Office.

At the Agribank Party Committee's meeting point were Mr. To Huy Vu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members; Mr. Tran Van Thinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Pham Toan Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, General Director; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, members of the Party Committee Executive Board; members of the Board of Members and the executive board, along with leaders, staff, and employees throughout the Agribank system.

The conference aims to raise awareness of the role, potential, and application direction of AI in innovation and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the work of officials and civil servants at all levels of Party committees and agencies; to equip learners with basic knowledge and skills in using some popular AI tools to support tasks such as: consulting, information synthesis, document analysis, drafting, and proposing solutions to serve their work.

At the same time, the conference contributed to shaping the right attitudes and responsibilities in using AI safely and securely, in line with political and legal guidelines in the context of digital transformation.

Recognizing AI applications as one of the key solutions and breakthroughs for modernizing leadership, management, and banking operations, the conference provided a great opportunity to concretize and raise awareness among Agribank officials, Party members, and employees about science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

The Agribank Party Committee organized 178 online meeting points across the system, with the participation of over 40,000 cadres and employees from branches and units. The meeting was divided into two phases: Phase 1 from 8:00 AM on September 9th to 5:00 PM on September 10th, and Phase 2 from 8:00 AM on September 11th to 5:00 PM on September 12th. The conference was conducted seriously and responsibly, demonstrating the high determination of the collective of Agribank cadres, Party members, and employees in grasping new knowledge and being ready to apply AI to Party work and professional activities.

At the conference, Agribank officials, Party members, and employees listened to presentations from senior and principal lecturers of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on the following topics: Overview and role of AI in Party work (basic concepts, development trends, application scenarios of AI in research, consultation, synthesis, and document analysis); and exploring popular AI tools currently available (ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion AI, Canva AI).

In addition, learners will practice using ChatGPT to support their work (research, consultation, synthesis; analyzing documents from multiple sources; building reports and plans). Learners will also be guided on the principles of use; ethical, legal, and security issues when using AI; and discuss situations involving security breaches and misinformation.

The development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation have become crucial and decisive factors for the rapid and sustainable development of the country as a whole, and the banking system and Agribank in particular.

To concretize the guidelines and Resolution No. 57 of the Central Committee, Agribank issued Plan No. 77 on February 28th, defining specific tasks for Party committees, Party organizations, boards of directors, executive boards, trade unions, youth unions, units, and branches throughout the system to develop action plans, organize implementation, inspect, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of Resolution No. 57 and other related documents of the Government, the State Bank of Vietnam, and Agribank.

The plan also aims to realize the goal of making science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation the top priority breakthroughs in all fields and activities of Agribank in the era of rapid national development and prosperity; maintaining its leading role in the agricultural and rural finance market, alongside corporations and conglomerates, leading the socialist-oriented market economy, creating the momentum and strength to bring the country into a new era.
