The Party fosters ideals for the young generation to build the future.

In the glorious historical flow of the nation, the young generation has always been the vanguard force, making an important contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. In Quang Tri, the young generation continues to affirm its pioneering role in many fields. Faced with the new requirements of the cause of innovation and integration, strengthening the Party's leadership in educating the young generation in revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles is becoming more urgent and of long-term strategic significance.

Currently, there are 126,601 young people aged 16-30 in the province, accounting for 19.35% of the total population and 37.7% of the province's workforce. Recognizing the importance of educating the young generation, in recent years, the province has directed the implementation of many central policies and resolutions on youth work, especially Directive 42-CT/TW, dated March 24, 2015 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for the young generation in the period 2015-2030".

Under the leadership of the Party, the participation of the entire political system, the work of educating the young generation on ideals, ethics and lifestyle has achieved many positive results. In recent times, the provincial Youth Union at all levels has implemented the construction of 40 provincial-level youth projects; 227 district-level youth projects; 8,103 grassroots-level youth projects and tasks with a total value of more than 60 billion VND.

Volunteer activities to ensure social security continue to develop in scale, type and effectiveness such as the programs: "Winter Volunteer", "Spring Volunteer", "March Border Month", "Youth Month", "Summer Youth Volunteer" campaign, journey "Young Doctors follow Uncle Ho's teachings - volunteer for community health". Youth Union chapters at all levels have organized 36 provincial volunteer campaigns, 158 district-level campaigns and 1,750 grassroots-level campaigns with a total value of more than 28 billion VND.

The work of accompanying young people to establish their own careers has been focused on by all levels of the Youth Union. Thereby, all levels of the Youth Union have organized propaganda, encouraged and supported members and young people to develop the economy through activities guiding young people to build economic models of farms, family farms, household economies, youth cooperatives to develop the economy...

Activities to accompany young people in job creation and labor export were actively implemented with 270 consulting activities, job introduction and labor export for 89,620 young people, of which new jobs were introduced for 36,020 young people; vocational training was coordinated with job creation for 8,900 young people.

Along with that, the team bases in the whole province also actively research, innovate, and diversify the forms of organizing propaganda activities, educating children about the history and traditions of the nation and the locality associated with the activities "Journey to the red address" and "Silk shirt for grandmother".

From the above programs, the team bases have given more than 18,000 gifts to policy families. The campaigns in many creative and flexible forms, applying information technology, contributed to orienting the ideology, life ideals and improving the political capacity of union members and youth.

Propaganda activities, studying Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, and political theories have been effectively implemented by all levels of the Youth Union. The activities of "Drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude" have been focused on. The discovery, training, honoring, and replication of advanced models have been regularly implemented, with diverse subjects and in most fields of activity. Over the past 10 years, all levels of the Youth Union have organized to honor more than 1,200 exemplary young people in all fields.

In order to create mechanisms, policies and favorable conditions for youth activities, youth union chapters at all levels also actively advise party committees and authorities to organize programs and specialized activities on educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for the young generation, and periodically meet and dialogue with youth union cadres and youth.

The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee signed a coordination program with departments and branches in the work of educating, nurturing and caring for children and adolescents, thereby creating conditions and an environment to implement large-scale, effective and quality programs and activities...

To improve the quality of content, methods and effectiveness of educational activities of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and youth organizations, on the occasion of major holidays of the homeland and the country, youth organizations at all levels have organized political activities and traditional activities in many diverse forms to foster patriotism, revolutionary ideals and aspirations for youth. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee continues to maintain the good activities of youth theory clubs at all levels. Up to now, the whole province has 1 provincial club, 12 district clubs, 2 commune clubs and 31 school clubs.

At the same time, the information and propaganda work of the Union has been effectively implemented. The Union chapters at all levels have invested in and improved the quality of propaganda on social networking sites. Educating the young generation is not only the responsibility of the education sector or mass organizations, but also the common task of the entire political system under the leadership of the Party. Sowing the seeds of ideals and cultivating the personality of the young generation is cultivating the future. And in that journey, the role of the Party is not only a torch to light the way but also a solid support for the young generation in the province to grow up and continue to be worthy of the tradition of the homeland.
