- On the afternoon of November 18th, on the occasion of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son Province, 2024, the delegation attending the congress, led by Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Congress Steering Committee, offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Park and the Monument of Comrade Hoang Van Thu (Lang Son City).

At the incense-offering sites, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and Comrade Hoang Van Thu to the revolutionary cause of the country.

Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Congress Steering Committee, offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Park.

Lang Son is a mountainous border province in the Northeast of Vietnam, with 83.91% of its population being ethnic minorities. Over the years, Lang Son province has consistently prioritized the effective implementation of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies. The 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities, to be held in 2024, has the theme: “Ethnic groups in Lang Son province unite, innovate, leverage advantages and potential, integrate and develop sustainably.” This event holds profound political and social significance, summarizing and evaluating the results of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies implemented during the 2019-2024 period, and determining the direction and tasks for the 2024-2029 period.

This event further affirms and acknowledges the immense contributions of ethnic minority communities in the province to poverty reduction, rural development, socio-economic development, and international integration. It also serves as an opportunity to honor, commend, and reward outstanding individuals and groups within the ethnic minority communities; and as a forum for exchange, learning, and sharing experiences, aiming to raise awareness, create consensus, and strengthen the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Imbued with the thoughts and teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, and following in the revolutionary tradition of Comrade Hoang Van Thu, the delegation of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son Province pledges to uphold the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, firmly believe in the Party's leadership, constantly innovate and create, and work together to consolidate and build national unity, successfully implement the tasks and goals of socio-economic development, and build a stronger and more prosperous Lang Son.

Following the incense offering ceremony, the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son Province held its preliminary session with the following agenda items: electing the presidium and secretariat of the congress; and approving the program and regulations of the congress. The official session of the congress will take place on the morning of November 19, 2024, at the Provincial Conference Center.
