On December 11-12, the Forensic Technical Department of the Kien Giang Provincial Police announced that its forensic team had just saved two people injured in a traffic accident who were in critical condition and provided timely emergency care to the victims.
Earlier, at around 8:30 PM on December 4th, a forensic team traveling from Ha Tien City to Rach Gia City discovered a traffic accident in the Soc Son town area of Hon Dat district. Two people were found seriously injured at the scene.
At this point, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thi Dieu instructed Lieutenant Dinh Van Toi to stop the vehicle and assigned Major Danh Minh Hoang - a forensic doctor - to get out of the car with Lieutenant Dinh Van Toi to assist the victims.
Upon examination, Doctor Danh Minh Hoang determined that one of the two injured was in critical condition, showing signs of respiratory failure. The scene was also unsafe for providing first aid due to heavy traffic.
Then, Doctor Hoang suggested putting the victim in the car so that they could receive first aid and be immediately transferred to Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment within the critical "golden hour."
At this time, the victim had facial injuries, with significant bleeding from the nose and mouth. To prevent the risk of blood flowing back into the trachea and causing suffocation, Doctor Hoang, with the assistance of Lieutenant Doctor Danh Hoang Dung, proceeded to clear the nasal passages and mouth, ensuring an open airway, and bandaged the wounds to stop the bleeding.
Following first aid, the victim's condition temporarily stabilized. At the same time, Lieutenant Colonel and Doctor Tran Van Nghia also examined and provided first aid to the other victim.

During the rescue operation, Major Nguyen Hoang Phuong also quickly obtained personal information and assisted in contacting and notifying the victim's family.
The victims have been identified as Mr. NVT (29 years old, residing in Tan Hoi commune, Tan Hiep district) and Mr. NVS (43 years old, residing in My Thuan commune, Binh Tan district, Vinh Long province).
The emergency response was swift; in less than 20 minutes, the victims were transported to Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment of their injuries.
Currently, victim NVS has been discharged from the hospital, while victim NVT underwent emergency surgery and is now out of critical condition.
