Firstly, the quota for the pedagogical sector is not large. There are majors in some schools that only recruit 20-30 students. On the other hand, the Ministry of Education and Training currently assigns pedagogical quotas to schools according to social needs, meaning that the society needs as much as they are assigned, not left to chance or self-determination.
The second is the impact of policy. In recent years, the Government has had many support policies for pedagogical students such as free tuition, living allowances... This makes good students with difficult family circumstances, or candidates who dream of working in the education sector, boldly register. On the other hand, the job position after graduating from pedagogical school is of interest, attracting more candidates.
The third factor is related to the legal framework. When the Law on Teachers was enacted, the status of teachers was raised, and their salaries were ranked at the top of the salary scale, thus attracting many candidates to register for the exam.
