(To Quoc) - To commemorate the 79th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd, on the morning of September 1st, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Thang Long Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and the Vietnamese Village Temple Club, organized a parade of traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses called "Ao Dai Connecting Tourism and Heritage in 2024".

On the morning of September 1st, to honor cultural heritage values, the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Village Temple Club and the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, organized the event "Ao Dai Connecting Tourism with Hanoi Heritage 2024," which passed through prominent streets and historical sites of the capital city.

This is a meaningful event to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The journey begins at the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center in Hanoi, then the cycling group passes through historical streets such as Hoang Dieu, Dien Bien Phu, Hung Vuong, Phan Dinh Phung, and several landmarks such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Hang Dau Water Tower, Long Bien Bridge, and Dong Xuan Market. The journey ends at Doan Mon Gate, within the Thang Long Imperial Citadel historical site.

Organizing events like "Ao Dai Connects Tourism with Hanoi Heritage" also contributes to promoting the strong development of the capital's tourism industry by showcasing the image of the traditional Ao Dai and the unique cultural values of Hanoi.

The event hopes to spread widely to the community, helping domestic and foreign tourists understand more about the beauty of Ao Dai and the cultural heritage of the Capital.

Young couple Pham Quy Du and Bui Doan Thuy Quyen (car number 001) participated in the program with the desire to promote the culture and beauty of Vietnamese ao dai to people and international friends.

Images of people wearing ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) and cycling around Hanoi's old streets will contribute to honoring the cultural heritage of the capital city and celebrating the beauty of the traditional ao dai.

This is also a new experience activity attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi; exploiting and honoring the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people associated with heritage and tourism to preserve and develop traditional cultural values of the nation; creating opportunities to promote and introduce Hanoi tourist destinations.

This is the opening event for a series of events within the framework of the "Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024" program, connecting the ao dai with Hanoi's heritage and tourist destinations.

The cycling group passed through O Quan Chuong Gate.

According to Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the program is a new experiential activity that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists to Hanoi, thereby stimulating tourism. "Through this activity, the capital's tourism industry creates beautiful images of Hanoi, promotes community spirit, and raises awareness of heritage protection," Mr. Hieu emphasized.

Previously, in 2023, the "Cycling with Ao Dai to Connect Hanoi Heritage - 1st Edition" program, with its cycling journey around the capital, attracted the participation of more than 150 people who love traditional Vietnamese clothing.
