On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Que Son district, Quang Nam province (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025), and to strengthen the special, steadfast, and fraternal relationship between Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province and Que Son district, Quang Nam province, on the morning of March 26, a delegation from Tho Xuan district, led by Comrade Thai Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, visited and worked with Que Son district, Quang Nam province.

Following the Central Party Committee's directive for provinces and cities in the North to establish fraternal ties with those in the South to create a combined strength for mutual support and encouragement in successfully carrying out the two strategic tasks, on November 20, 1968, a ceremony to establish fraternal ties between Tho Xuan District - Thanh Hoa Province and Que Son District - Quang Nam Province took place in My Ly Ha village, Bac Luong commune, the evacuation site of the Tho Xuan District Party Committee.

For over 57 years, the two districts have maintained a strong, loyal, and steadfast relationship, supporting each other in the struggle for national liberation and the building of their homeland. Over the years, on holidays and anniversaries commemorating victories and the liberation of the country, and upon receiving prestigious titles from the Party and State, the leaders of the two districts have regularly visited and paid tribute to those who shed blood and sacrificed for the independence of the country and the freedom of today's generations.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Dinh Nguyen Vu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the District People's Council of Que Son District, provided information on the recent merger between Que Son and Nong Son districts. He also briefly outlined some achievements in the socio -economic development of the localities. He affirmed the unwavering and loyal relationship between Que Son District, Quang Nam Province, and Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, both in the past and present. This will be an important foundation for the districts to continue supporting each other in the future.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Thai Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tho Xuan District Party Committee, congratulated Que Son district on the outstanding and comprehensive results it has strived to achieve in recent times. Regarding some of the achievements in various fields, Comrade Thai Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tho Xuan District Party Committee, stated: Immediately after the 27th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the district concretized key programs and focused on leadership and direction from the beginning of the term, achieving many outstanding accomplishments. These include the President awarding the Second Class Independence Medal to the Party Committee, government, and people of Tho Xuan district; and the Prime Minister recognizing Tho Xuan district as an advanced new rural district in 2023, making it the first district in Thanh Hoa province in particular and the North Central region in general to meet the criteria of an advanced new rural district. The Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee expressed his hope that, with the close bond and affection nurtured over many generations, the two districts would regularly organize meetings, exchanges, and learning experiences in various fields in the future to promote mutual development.

Also at the meeting, former members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committees of the two districts exchanged views, further clarified the close and enduring bond between the two districts, and proposed several solutions to continue maintaining, preserving, and elevating the fraternal relationship between the two districts to a new level.

On this occasion, Tho Xuan district also donated 100 million VND to Que Son district, Quang Nam province, to support house construction for policy beneficiaries and poor households. Gifts were also presented to 10 policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals in Que Son district, Quang Nam province.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and offered incense and flowers at the Memorial Temple for Heroes and Martyrs of Que Son District; and the Cam Doi Victory Monument in Que Son District. During the two wars of resistance against foreign invaders, nearly 8,000 martyrs from Que Son District, over 1,000 from outside the district, and more than 5,300 whose names are unknown, were martyrs in Que Son District. Que Son District has 1,036 mothers who have been awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother. Before the spirits of these heroes and martyrs, the Party Committee, government, and people of Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, and Que Son District, Quang Nam Province, pledge to continue nurturing the close, loyal, and enduring bond between the two districts that generations have painstakingly cultivated; and to continue caring for, helping, and supporting each other for mutual development.
