The Vietnamese Sports Delegation has arrived in Thailand, ready for the 33rd SEA Games.

VHO - At noon on December 7, after more than two hours of flight from Hanoi, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation landed safely at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok, Thailand), officially starting the journey to participate in the 33rd SEA Games - the largest sporting event in Southeast Asia in 2025.

As soon as the plane landed, the whole delegation quickly moved to the priority lane arranged by the SEA Games 33 Organizing Committee specifically for sports delegations.

Immigration procedures were carried out smoothly, along with the activation of the SEA Games card – an important document to access the competition, training and accommodation areas. The reception work was carried out smoothly by the host side, creating conditions for the Vietnamese delegation to quickly settle down.

The atmosphere of excitement and eagerness was evident on the faces of the athletes and coaches from the very first minutes of arriving in Bangkok.

After the reception, the whole delegation was quickly taken to the accommodation as planned by the Organizing Committee, ready to enter the final preparation stage before stepping into the competition ring.

According to schedule, the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in Bangkok will take place on the afternoon of December 8 at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.

This is a solemn ceremony marking Vietnam's official presence at the Congress, while strengthening solidarity among 11 Southeast Asian countries.

For the troops stationed in Chonburi, the second flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to be held on December 11 at Wyndham Jomtien.

The 33rd SEA Games is considered an important event for Vietnamese Sports. With a force of more than 1,100 members, including 842 athletes, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation aims to compete impressively in 47/66 sports and 443 sets of medals.

The careful preparation before departure and the determination fostered by the Departure Ceremony in Hanoi are adding strong motivation to the players.

With the expectations of fans and the attention of industry leaders, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation is expected to compete with confidence, contribute beautiful performances and bring back resounding achievements at the 33rd SEA Games. The first activities in Thailand went smoothly, creating a favorable start for the road ahead.
