The six gold medals won by the Vietnamese sports delegation today came from Karate, Taekwondo, and Athletics. Karate shone brightly with an impressive "hat-trick" of gold medals, marking a triumphant day for the Vietnamese Karate team.
In athletics, Vietnamese athletes also shone brightly, winning two gold medals and further solidifying Vietnam's leading position in regional competitions. Notably, the spotlight was on "athletics queen" Nguyen Thi Oanh as she competed in the women's 5,000m event and secured a convincing victory.
Concluding the fourth day of competition, the Vietnamese sports delegation has won 30 gold medals, 28 silver medals, and 53 bronze medals. As of 9:30 PM on December 13th, the Vietnamese sports delegation has a total of 111 medals, ranking third on the SEA Games 33 medal table.
