On the contrary, in 2013 and 2014, the Vietnamese futsal team defeated the Indonesian team in the third-place match. The first time we won with a score of 7-3 and the second time we won in a penalty shootout (after the two teams tied 2-2 in regulation time and extra time).

In general, unlike Thailand, the Vietnamese futsal team is not afraid of or afraid of Indonesia in one-on-one encounters. The final of the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship is also the first time the Vietnamese and Indonesian teams have met in a regional championship match.
