Vietnam national football team named at WeChoice Awards 2024

At the WeChoice Awards 2024, artist Tu Long and singer Soobin were repeatedly nominated for important awards. The Vietnamese national football team was a special inspirational ambassador.

On the evening of January 12th, the WeChoice Awards 2024 gala took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. With the theme "My Vietnam," the WeChoice Awards 2024 continues to spread and honor inspiring people and stories, acts of kindness, human values, and projects that have a positive impact on the community.

The WeChoice Awards 2024 received over 111,000 nominations, 80 million votes, and 55 million visits across 27 nomination categories. The most important category was "Inspirational Figure." The program honored 20 inspirational figures. From these, the audience voted for the 10 most inspirational figures of the year: researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu, educator Nguyen Xuan Khang, village head Ma Seo Chu, artist Tu Long, rapper HIEUTHUHAI, singer SOOBIN, Quang Hung MasterD, RHYDER, the "Saigon Green Team," and the soldiers of Regiment 98 (Division 316). The WeChoice Awards 2024 also announced five inspirational ambassadors selected by the judging panel: soldiers from Regiment 98 (Division 316), educator Nguyen Xuan Khang, researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu, artist Tu Long, and "desert girl" Thanh Vu. Notably, the sixth inspirational ambassador is the Vietnamese national football team, with the reason given: "Normally, the WeChoice Awards does not award prizes for events that take place after December 31, 2024. However, the Vietnamese national football team is an exception; not awarding them would be a disservice."

Brave Heart is the first category to appear at the WeChoice Awards 2024. This category is not voted on but is recognized and honored by the community. It includes Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tai, the heroes who rescued the driver in the car fire on Phu My Bridge, the heroes in the Trung Kinh fire in Hanoi , Vu Tien Anh, Bui Thanh Tai, and Ngo Van Khanh.

Artist Tu Long and singer SOOBIN "bagged" many awards at this year's WeChoice Awards . Tu Long was honored as an inspirational figure and inspirational ambassador. He also received the award for explosive performance with the song "Trong Com" performed with SOOBIN and Cuong SEVEN at the "Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai" (Brother Overcoming a Thousand Thorns) event. His phrase "Top of the sky, ceiling high, soaring high" was recognized as the slang phrase of the year. Besides being an inspirational figure and receiving the explosive performance award, SOOBIN also won the Breakthrough Singer/Rapper award, EP/Album of the Year award, and Best Fandom Forever award.

Tu Long shared: "This program has many records: records of courage, records of love, records of widespread impact, and personally, receiving 3 awards in 4 days is also a new record. I hope all of us have good health so we can do many good things and contribute to the country." "SOOBIN received the Outstanding Young Artist award at the WeChoice Award 2016. After 8 years, SOOBIN is here again to receive the WeChoice Award 2024. I feel I need to be more responsible, to be a kind artist. I hope to always keep the passion alive to serve the community," SOOBIN stated.
