Dangda's sister is causing a stir, but Thailand doesn't need a big win.
The younger sister of veteran striker Teerasil Dangda, who scored against the Vietnamese men's team in the 2008 AFF Cup final, Taneekarn Dangda, appeared at the SEA Games as a target striker. With her ideal height and quick movements, she not only created great opportunities for her teammates but also constantly disrupted the defense and created many chances. Dangda's playing style, along with two other forwards in the attack, Chetthabutr Kanyanat (10) and Waenngoen Orapin (15), constantly threatened Singapore's goal.

In just 20 minutes, Thailand easily won with 2 goals scored by the duo Chetthabutr Kanyanat (10) and Waenngoen Orapin (15). Dangda did not score, but she received much applause from the audience for her aggressive and sharp playing style. In the context where Thailand proactively "rested" many key players, including Jiraporn Mongkoldee, who scored a hat-trick (only at the end of the second half) or Aupachai Pattaranan, the replacements, including Dangda, reassured Thai fans, because there was no significant gap between them.

Thailand didn't need a big win. They needed to experiment with new attacking options, adjust their playing style, and conserve energy. Therefore, the second half was like a leisurely stroll for the home team. They played calmly and relaxed, turning the match into a training session. This was partly because Singapore was too weak, and partly because the Thais were looking ahead to the semi-finals or final where they were hoping to face the Vietnamese women's team.

Therefore, Thailand will face the second-placed team in Group B in the second semi-final at 6:30 PM on December 14th, while Indonesia will face the first-placed team in Group B in the first semi-final at 4:00 PM on December 14th.
