The final matches of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers have just concluded, determining the 16 teams that have qualified for the Asian Futsal Championship finals.

This list includes host nation Indonesia; and the group winners: Australia (Group A), Thailand (Group B), Japan (Group C), Iraq (Group D), Vietnam (Group E), Kyrgyzstan (Group F), Iran (Group G), and Afghanistan (Group H).

With three consecutive wins, the Vietnamese Futsal team qualifies for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.
The best-performing second-placed teams are: Kuwait (Group A), South Korea (Group B), Tajikistan (Group C), Saudi Arabia (Group D), Lebanon (Group E), Uzbekistan (Group F), and Malaysia (Group G).
The seed groups have also been determined, including Indonesia (host), Iran, Thailand, and Japan in Group 1; Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq in Group 2; Kuwait, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, and Kyrgyzstan in Group 3; and Australia, Lebanon, South Korea, and Malaysia in Group 4.
By being placed in group 2, the Vietnam Futsal team will avoid Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Iraq in the group stage.

In the qualifying round, coach Diego Giustozzi's team won all three matches in Group E, defeating Hong Kong (China) 9-2, China 7-1, and Lebanon 4-0 respectively, securing their place in the next round as group winners.
The draw for the group stage will take place on November 5th. The finals will be held from January 27th to February 7th, 2026 in Indonesia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, then the semifinals, and finally the final to compete for the championship.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the men's futsal competition features five participating teams: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Myanmar. The teams will compete in a round-robin format to determine the final rankings.
The Vietnamese Futsal team is expected to gather in Ho Chi Minh City from November 10th to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
