On January 8, the Vietnamese team entered the third training session at Al Rayyan 2 Stadium, which was also the last training session before the friendly match with the Kyrgyzstan team taking place at 4:00 p.m. today (January 9).

The first thing that brought relief to coach Philippe Troussier was that all the Vietnamese players had fully adapted to the weather conditions and the time zone difference. It was clear that Vietnamese players like Tuan Anh, Duy Manh, Tan Tai, Nguyen Filip, etc., came to training with bright smiles and full of energy. The training atmosphere was also cheerful, and the players appeared very fit.
Tuan Anh was also full of joy when he arrived at the training ground on the third day in Qatar.
Coach Philippe Troussier also adjusted the practice time to be earlier each day to help his players adapt to the match schedule of the opening match against the Japanese team, which takes place at 2:30 p.m. on January 14, local time.

Due to the nature of serving the testing and professional evaluation of both teams, the friendly match between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan will be held in an empty stadium and without media activities. This is also the regulation of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for teams when organizing friendly matches before the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.
