On August 22nd, the launch ceremony for the final round of the 7-a-side national football championship - Bia Saigon Cup 2023 (VPL-S4) took place in Hanoi . VPL-S4 has gone through three regions to find the strongest teams. In the Northern region, Mobi Club was crowned champion. Meanwhile, in the Southern region, An Bien FC convincingly won the title, and Hieu Hoa - Quahaco excellently took the championship in the Central - Central Highlands region.
In addition, other representatives participating in the final round are Dai Tu Club, Tung Anh (Northern region), Betong 26 Gia Lai (Central and Central Highlands regions) and Dat Tin, Bay Nui (Southern region). The tournament is played in a knockout format, with the quarter-final winners advancing to the semi-finals and then to the final. The champion receives a prize of 150 million VND, the runner-up receives 80 million VND, and the third-place team receives 60 million VND.
Two players, Ngoc Duy and Nhu Thanh, drew lots for the schedule of the National 7-a-side Football Championship Finals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - Head of the organizing committee - said: " After 3 months of regional qualifying rounds, the tournament has advanced to the final round. This year's season marks a step forward in terms of professionalism, expanding the time and space for competition."
The 7-a-side football category with a 10-year journey of building and developing has achieved certain achievements, received recognition at home and abroad, and the sympathy of international friends. Accordingly, the 8 teams in the final round are excellent representatives, promising a great season .
The National 7-a-side Football Championship remains a popular amateur league that attracts significant fan interest. Beyond amateur stars, the 7-a-side pitch now features many professional players, and even Vietnamese Golden Ball winner Nguyen Hoang Duc still dedicates time to his passion.
The final round of the championship cup will take place at the Hoang Mai District Cultural and Sports Center (Hanoi) over three days from August 24-27, promising exciting and captivating matches from eight teams.
