Deputy Head of Cam Lo District Police, Lieutenant Colonel Duong Xuan Ngoc said that recently, the unit has implemented many synchronous solutions in the management and handling of cases related to violations of the law on weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks. In particular, exchanging weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks for fire extinguishers is a good way to bring high results, and is supported by the people.
Accordingly, the Cam Lo District Police have deployed a point to exchange weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks for fire extinguishers at Thanh An Commune Police Station.

Although it was only a short time ago, people brought 3 hunting guns, 6 swords and 4 boxes of fireworks to the police to exchange for fire extinguishers.
Recently, Cam Lo District Police have stepped up propaganda to raise awareness of the law on management and use of weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks among the people; at the same time, applied professional measures, proactively coordinated with patrol forces, controlled, prevented and fought against violations of weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks.
In 2023, the functional forces of the whole district mobilized people to voluntarily hand over 7 homemade guns, 55 iron balls, 98 plastic balls and 83 military bullets (K56). From December 15, 2022 to December 15, 2023, the District Police discovered and handled 15 cases/18 subjects violating the law on weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks, of which 8 cases/11 subjects were prosecuted; handled 6 cases/6 subjects for administrative violations, transferred 1 case/1 subject to the Provincial Police for handling according to their authority; imposed an administrative fine of VND 27,500,000, and seized 525.65 kg of fireworks.
“This is a method that brings “double” effectiveness, both equipping fire extinguishers to prevent fires and explosions, and collecting weapons and explosives stored in the community. Therefore, currently, the District Police are focusing on directing the police of communes and towns to continue to expand the dissemination to propagate and mobilize people to voluntarily hand over weapons, explosives and support tools to the authorities, contributing to strengthening and improving the effectiveness of state management of weapons and explosives in the area,” Lieutenant Colonel Duong Xuan Ngoc added.
