In addition, through collection from land users and management agencies, more than 37.6 million land plots will be collected and data cleaned. “The Ministry of Public Security has authenticated land users and information through identification, authenticated for the third time. We are asking localities to clean this data,” said Mr. Phan.

According to Mr. Mai Van Phan, collecting enough land data is not enough, but must continue to operate that data continuously to put it into operation and exploitation. The Department of Land Management has reported to the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to develop a project to complete the remaining tasks in 2026.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien affirmed that the results were beyond expectations. “This result is of great value, a foundation for doing things related to socio-economic development and national defense and security. We are confident that we will have an overview of the land database, this is a huge resource,” said Mr. Tien.

The 90-day campaign to review and clean up the entire land database was implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and cities from September 1 to November 30. The authorities verified information of land users and home owners based on existing databases with the National Population Database.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said it will synchronize the land database of 34 centrally-governed provinces and cities, unify the National Land Database at the central level, and connect and share with the National Population Database, ministries, branches, localities, Party agencies, the National Assembly, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, and socio-political organizations.
