Energizing and technical acceptance of Ascendas 110kV Station project

(BDO) On the afternoon of April 27, at Kien Dien Transformer Station (TSS), An Dien Ward, Ben Cat City, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), Binh Duong Power Company (PCBD) coordinated with the contractor and related units to organize the technical acceptance of the Ascendas 110kV Station Project, installing the T2 transformer with a capacity of 63MVA, increasing the station's capacity to 2x63MVA, with a total investment of more than 36.5 billion VND.

On the afternoon of April 27, the technical acceptance of the Ascendas 110kV Station project was successfully held.

Mr. Le Minh Quoc Viet, Director of PCBD, said that the completion of the project will reduce the load on transformer T1 at the 110kV Ascendas (Kien Dien) substation, reduce the load on the existing 110kV An Tay substation, ensure safe and continuous power supply, and improve the operational reliability of N-1. At the same time, the project also ensures the ability to connect the 22kV loop between the 110kV Ascendas (Kien Dien) substation and the existing 110kV An Tay substation, facilitating the support of power supply between the 22kV lines of the 110kV substations in case of equipment maintenance. The project also prepares for the development of loads in industrial parks such as Protrade International, Viet Huong 2 and along the current and future DT744 road.

During the construction and energization process, EVNSPC received active guidance and support from local authorities, along with the coordinated efforts of EVNSPC's professional units such as the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board, PCBD, Southern Electricity Consulting Company, Bach Khoa Electrical Construction Company Limited, Southern Electricity Testing Company and the Southern Power System Dispatch Center.

The project to increase the capacity of the T2 transformer installation increases the capacity of Kien Dien transformer station, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for industrial production in the region.

On the same day, the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board under EVNSPC coordinated with the contractor and related units to complete the energization of the project to upgrade the 110kV Thuan An - VSIP II line into 2 circuits.

The project is 2.42km long, the repair items include: reusing existing pillars to increase load-bearing capacity, iron towers to raise the height of some pillars and adding pillars to the positions of straight concrete pillars; reinforcing pillar foundations and building new reinforced concrete foundations at new positions; replacing conductors, insulators and accessories related to lines, pillars and foundations... with a total investment of more than 29.9 billion VND.

The projects completed before April 30 are 90-day sprint projects to "Complete the energization of 50 110kV power grid projects" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Building - Developing - Lighting up trust" EVNSPC.

Upon completion, the project will improve the capacity of power transmission on the existing 110kV line, meeting the load demand of the area; strengthen the loop connection between the 220kV Binh Hoa Substation and the 220kV Thuan An Substation, increase the reliability of power supply to the 110kV Substations in the area, ensuring operation according to N-1 standards.

The above two projects are 90-day sprint projects to "Complete the energization of 50 110kV power grid projects" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Building - Developing - Lighting up trust" of EVNSPC (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
