Industrial Catering Store No. 1 (Minh Thu Company Limited) provides boarding meals for 4 schools in Ho Chi Minh City, including: Le Loi Primary School (Tam Thang Ward); Thang Tam Primary School, Bau Sen Primary School (Vung Tau Ward) and Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (Phuoc Thang Ward).
After the incident of the tomato sauce tofu dish being spoiled in the meal, Le Loi Primary School is completing the procedure to terminate the contract with the above unit and choose a new supplier.
The Department of Culture and Society and the People's Committee of Tam Thang Ward have coordinated to support the school in selecting a temporary food supplier to ensure that boarding activities take place continuously and without interruption.
The school and the Department of Culture and Society will directly inspect and closely monitor food sources and processing procedures to ensure the safety and quality of meals for students.
In the past 2 days (October 25 and 26), talking to reporters of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, the principals of the remaining 3 schools said they had also worked with the school's Parents' Representative Board and representatives of Industrial Catering Store No. 1.
As a result, Thang Tam Primary School and Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School decided to terminate their contracts with this unit. From October 27, the two schools will temporarily stop organizing boarding schools until the bidding procedure to select a new unit is completed.
Bau Sen Primary School, at the request of parents, has also temporarily suspended boarding activities, awaiting official instructions from the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward.
