Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province issued an order for the emergency construction of a project to address landslides along the Tien River in the area of the riverbank erosion control embankment in Thuong Phuoc commune.
The construction area covers a section of approximately 370m where landslides and subsidence have occurred, including the retaining wall. The Dong Thap Provincial Project Management Board is designated as the investor to carry out the project from now until the end of 2026.
Funding comes from local and central government budgets and other sources.

The emergency remediation project for riverbank erosion along the Tien River at Nguyen Huong Street (Tan Tich and Tinh Hung hamlets), Cao Lanh ward, aims to address erosion and subsidence of the Tien River banks, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
The dangerous landslide section is approximately 520m long. The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction in Area 1 is assigned as the investor.
The construction period for the project is from the date the order is issued until the end of 2026.
At the same time, the People's Committee of Cao Lanh ward is tasked with leading and continuing to deploy forces on duty (24/7) to closely monitor the landslide situation; strictly prohibiting vehicles and people from passing through the landslide area; ensuring absolute safety of life and minimizing damage to people's property.
