Doraemon celebrates its '50th birthday' with a special publication.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original Japanese edition, Kim Dong Publishing House has announced a series of special editions marking the half-century milestone of the character 'Fat Cat' Doraemon. This is great news for fans of the series, especially those from the 80s and 90s generations.

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the individual manga volumes (tankobon) in the Doraemon series. This was the inaugural work for the children's manga line within Shogakukan's Tentomushi Comics series. Since then, Doraemon has continued to bring countless magical dreams to children of all generations.

On this occasion, the six-volume Tentomushi Comics Doraemon series was released in Japan by Fujiko Pro. and Shogakukan Publishing. As a character beloved by generations of Vietnamese readers, Kim Dong Publishing House announced that the aforementioned six-volume set will also be released in the Vietnamese market in the near future.

In terms of format, the Vietnamese version will retain the "spirit" of the original Japanese version with a series of exclusive accessories containing information and illustrations that are hard to find anywhere else, revolving around Doraemon: from school magazine articles to exclusive postcard sets, informational compilations, bilingual English-language materials, etc.

Besides the main characters, these spin-offs will also explore "sideline" characters. Featuring characters that have previously appeared in magazines, cartoons, etc., this is an opportunity for fans of the "Fat Cat" series to relive their childhood memories once again.

The domestic version will also feature a metallic-finish cover and multiple color pages inside. Most notably, the silver box set will have striking, glossy illustrations and elaborately printed decorations inside…

Upon its release, this edition created a sensation among Doraemon fans thanks to its eye-catching design and a wealth of accompanying gifts.
