On the evening of December 9, the Nuoi Em charity project continued to have a new announcement on its fanpage. In it, the project responded to questions and conflicting opinions related to its activities, financial transparency and operating procedures in recent times.
Commitment to financial transparency
In the announcement, the project team thanked the donors and the community for their feedback and suggestions, and affirmed that they would accept all feedback with an open mind. Nuoi Em said that they would compile the questions and feedback publicly and commit to responding to all of them in the near future.
The project emphasizes that financial transparency commitments are still fully disclosed at taichinh.nuoiem.com, including monthly revenue statements, expenditure records and related notices. The group acknowledges the limitations in previous reports and will cooperate with specialized units to improve quality and standardize data disclosure procedures.

Regarding concerns about children being deprived of meals due to the project account being frozen, Nuoi Em affirmed that the children are still receiving daily meals. The freezing of the account is only for internal statistical purposes and is the project's fault, leading to misunderstandings and causing anxiety for teachers and donors.
“The project sincerely apologizes for the previous post due to the unclear information provided. The project commits to freezing the account purely for statistical purposes and this freezing is due to the project's fault.
The project wants to demonstrate the spirit of learning and action, but this has caused anxiety for teachers and foster parents, this is the project's mistake. The project would like to learn from experience and will be more careful in each update in the future," the project team shared.
Nuoi Em also said that this school year, it has received a list of 71,761 students, of which 67,996 students receive one meal and 3,765 students receive two meals, equivalent to 75,526 fostering codes. The actual number is adjusted according to the monthly increase and decrease list from the school.
Use savings interest to operate the project
In response to suspicions of money being cut, withheld, or cases where a child received multiple sponsors, the project affirmed that all donations were used for the right purposes and were proven through statements over many years. All transfers to schools and education departments were accompanied by official letters and complete records.
In particular, Nuoi Em confirmed that the unused amount since 2019 was saved by the project, the interest was used for operating and logistical costs such as communication, survey, travel, volunteer support... (this information is recorded on the page taichinh.nuoiem.com)
The project explains that for non-profit projects, the burden of management/operational costs is not small, saving is an option to optimize unused cash flow and reduce the personal cost burden of volunteers, there is absolutely no spending for non-community purposes.
"The lack of continuous communication and the lack of disclosure of the total amount and method of spending has caused a lot of doubt in the community, this is a mistake that the project will fix in the near future. The group is currently summarizing the total amount from savings and will update in the near future," the project said, adding that this amount only accounts for a part of the total revenue because the cash flow is evenly distributed throughout the year.
Regarding the list of children, the project said that each meal of a child at a time has only one sponsor. There is no creation of virtual codes, duplication or incorrect pairing. Some errors may occur such as duplication, information not updated due to "operational and handover errors", but it does not affect the money transfer process and the number of children supported.

The "Raising Children" project froze the account for 15 days to compile all income and expenditure over the past years.
Due to child rights protection requirements, the project cannot publicly list all children’s names and grades. Instead, the team proposes four transparent reconciliation options, including reconciliation of total income and expenditure, compiling the list from school documents, checking by community representatives or by an independent third party.
In addition to professional issues, Nuoi Em also recorded feedback on the behavior and conduct of founder Hoang Hoa Trung and the operating team. The group committed to reviewing and not avoiding responsibility, but will first prioritize clarifying issues directly related to the rights of students and sponsors.
At the end of the announcement, the project asked the community to send their comments via the form so that they could be fully summarized and not be left out. It is expected that in the next three days, the group will post more detailed information on the contents of interest.
Raising Children is a charity project founded by Hoang Hoa Trung in 2014, with the goal of bringing nutritious lunches to students in mountainous areas.
Each benefactor can adopt a child through a small daily donation, helping schools maintain their kitchens and significantly reducing school dropouts.
From a small group, the project has grown into an ecosystem supporting children in the highlands with many activities such as building schools, building boarding houses, providing clean water and bookcases.
However, on the evening of December 6, the incident related to the Nuoi Em charity project began to explode on social networks when many accounts posted text messages, questioning the financial transparency of the program.
Some accounts also discovered that their “foster” code was the same as someone else’s. In addition, the fact that the project has been operating for many years but still receives donations through the personal account number of founder Hoang Hoa Trung also makes many people doubt the transparency of the project.
